Medical review policy
AI Doctor Scan gives an educational urgency level from a photo. Because people act on that, the urgent-care advice on our pages is reviewed by a practising doctor. This page explains how.
Who reviews
A practising US board-certified emergency physician (NPI-registered). The profile page links to the public register where you can check the registration.
What they review
The red flags that should send someone for same-day or emergency care, and how clearly our pages and the four urgency levels (self-care, see a GP, see a specialist, urgent) say so. Each reviewed page shows who reviewed it, for what, and when.
What they don’t do
Reviewers never see users’ photos or results, do not review individual cases, and do not diagnose or treat anyone through this site. Our reviewer is not a dermatologist, and we do not describe them as one.
How often
Reviewed pages are checked again at least every 90 days, and sooner whenever their medical content or the urgency rules change. Pages in other languages are translations of the reviewed English text.
Payment and conflicts of interest
Reviewers are paid for their time as medical advisers. They hold no shares in the company, receive nothing per scan or per sale, and have no financial interest in any product or service mentioned on the site. A reviewer can require any medical statement to be changed or removed.
Corrections
If you think something on a reviewed page is wrong, tell us at [email protected]. Clinical corrections go to the reviewer and are published with a new review date.
